Independent film
An independent film, or indie film  is a feature film that is produced outside major film studio systems, in addition to being produced and distributed by independent entertainment companies. Independent films are mostly distinguishable by their content and style and the way in which the filmmakers' personal artistic vision is realised. Usually, but not always, independent films are made with considerably lower budgets than major studio movies.

Social context
The environment of people that surrounds something's creation or intended audience. Social context reflects how the people around something use and interpret it. The social context influences how something is viewed.

Production contextProduction context is the social and economical aspects around the film, for example, directors tend to make films that are in trend as they tend to gross more money. Generally, is is about the process of making the film its self.
